Public Statement: OSCR Investigation
17th March 2026
Today, we share an important update with our community. The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) has concluded its review and confirmed that it has not identified any matters of a regulatory nature. It further found that the actions of the charity trustees were consistent with the general duties set out in the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005.
The allegations made against our charity in 2024 were unfounded, and all claims of financial irregularities were entirely without basis. Our primary funder, the Scottish Government, has also confirmed that it is satisfied that we have met all funded duties, with no breach of terms and conditions.
While these malicious allegations presented challenges, they did not deter us from our mission or the values we uphold. We remain deeply committed to empowering Muslim and Minority Ethnic women across Scotland, guided by our core values of Accountability, Integrity and Equity.
We are incredibly grateful to our staff, Board members, volunteers, service users and funders who stood with us, supported us, and believed in us throughout.
Because of that support, we move forward together, stronger, more connected, and more determined than ever. Our charity is not only standing firm, but growing in strength, and we remain here for our community, now and into the future.
