Dundee Creative Well-Being Active Living

Maintaining physical activity, particularly outdoors in the fresh air, is vital for both physical heath and psychological wellbeing.

Our Dundee team works with our participants to develop sessions that help them keep active, build strength and learn new skills in a fun, social environment.

Walking Group

We run a weekly walking group, offering the opportunity for women to gain some regular exercise while building social connections and friendships. We incorporate strength and balance exercises into our walks, and always finish with tea, coffee and refreshments.

In 2025, 15 women joined Dundee Kiltwalk’s Wee Wander to fundraise for Amina.

Connections in Nature (Mor Diversity)

In February 2026 Aneela McKenna from Mòr Diversity delivered a wonderful workshop encouraging the group to think about the vitality of being outdoors and access to green spaces for our overall wellbeing.

By the end of the session, we had created a “Ramadan In Nature” calendar, with a prompt for each day to remind us to go outside, be active, and appreciate the world we live in.

Journey Sisters

With support from Tactran, Amina ran cycling training sessions in 2025 into 2026, supporting 10 women to learn how to ride bikes for the first time.

The sessions were fun, engaging and supportive, and we hope to continue running them in the future.

Thanks to Ruby Rae, Yusuf Youth Initiative (YYI) and Dundee Cycle Hub for their support on this project.
